Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV Bloopers

In the video SCTV Bloopers, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was made originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and laugh at network Canadian content rules, the characters transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
