The character Bob McKenzie is performed by comic Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as a skit to both fulfill and laugh about network Canadian content laws, the two grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings later became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
