In the video SCTV Cast Members on Letterman, Part 9 of 12: 2000-2005, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of strange Canadian actors who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was included on SCTV for the show’s third season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. The character Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a skit to both satisfy and make fun of annoying Canadian content policies, the pair became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. The two enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
