In the video SCTV – Catherine O’Hara as Lola Heatherton, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of strange Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was featured on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is acted by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by Dave Thomas. It was created originally as a sketch to both fulfill and mock legal Canadian content legislation, the siblings transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The pair became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Perhaps a little inspiration for her role as Moira on Schitt’s Creek?

OMG!! I love SCTV!!
She always had me laughing like an idiot at 3am back in the day 1983 here in LA when this would come on at 3am Saturday nights. I always looked forward to her emotional outbursts and her famous quote “ I wanna bear your children” Catherine O Hara, is a comic genius!
