Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV Channel # 12 – Oliver Grimley

In the video SCTV Channel # 12 – Oliver Grimley, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian family members who starred in “Great White North”, a improv which was televised on SCTV for the show’s third season when it moved to CBC Television in 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is played by Rick Moranis and Doug is played by comic Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh about silly Canadian content statutes, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and America. The pair later became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
