In the video SCTV Channel # 17, Season 6 UNCUT, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of strange Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s character is played by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content statutes, the duo grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The pair became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Life is so strange . I was reading a book about Japan. This reading got me into researching japan during ww2. So the next book i order is a biography on Tojo. In the meantime, i start watching old martin short specials. This lead me to watching old sctv episodes on your channel . Then I watched this episode on the day my Tojo book arrives. What are the odds?whats my point? Thank you love your channel

Interesting how the "Chariots of Eggs" trailer was edited to be all about Andrea Martin's character, since Catherine O'Hara was no longer part of the cast. I guess they thought it would be too complicated to include Hall and Oates, too.
