In the video SCTV – Chateau La Feet, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of imaginaryfunny Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by comic Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as filler to both fulfill and mock silly Canadian content demands, the siblings transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The characters soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
