In the video SCTV – Cooking With Marcello: Lobster Cacciatore, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was shown on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was created originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh about network Canadian content rules, the pair became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The characters soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Marcello plugs his book about pizza folding. He tries to cooks up some lobster cacciatore. The lobsters escape.
