In the video SCTV – Count Floyd’s Monster Chiller Horror Theatre (Oooooh!), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a improv which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it streamed by CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is played by Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as an idea to both fulfill and laugh about annoying Canadian content laws, the pair morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The pair soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
MONSTER CHILLER HORROR THEATRE: This week Count Floyd scares the pants off us with Ingmar Bergman’s “Whisper of the Wolf” starring Leave Ullman, Harriett Andersom set in Stockholm Sweden 1966. This one has the boys and girls pissing themselves – but not with fear!
Also known as Second City TV (1976–1981) – SCTV Network 90 (1981–1983) – SCTV Channel (1983–1984). This classic Canadian sketch comedy launched many careers and went mostly un-noticed by US audiences save for a brief stint on NBC.

The genius of this was lost on me as a kid in the 1980’s. As an adult it’s funny on so many levels.
I saw this on Cartoon Network in Europe in the mid-'90s and 4 year old me was thoroughly confused. I appreciate it now, but despite the audience of some of his sketches being juvenile, some of these were really not intended for kids lmao.
