In the video SCTV Dr Braino in Restaurant, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hysterical Canadian actors who hosted “Great White North”, a skit which was featured on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on CBC Television in . Bob’s part is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is played by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and laugh about stupid Canadian content demands, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The characters became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
