Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – Edith Prickley on Disasters in the Home

In the video SCTV – Edith Prickley on Disasters in the Home, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was made originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh about silly Canadian content guidelines, the brothers transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The two later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
