Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – Exorcising with Reagan Blair

In the video SCTV – Exorcising with Reagan Blair, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a program which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it was featured on CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as an idea to both fulfill and laugh about non sensical Canadian content legislation, the two turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings went on to become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
