In the video SCTV – Farm Film Celebrity Blow Up: Dustin Hoffman, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of fictional Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a skit which was included on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously developed originally as fluff to both satisfy and mock legal Canadian content rules, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Dustin Hoffman, as Tootsie, gets sensitive about being a woman, prepares, and blows up. Next week, Bonnie Franklin.

To me, this was Martin Short's finest moment! Imagine; he's an actor, imitating Dustin Hoffman, who is imitating Dorothy Michaels from the movie Tootsie. Absolute genius! Totally convincing & a perfect imitation of Dustin Hoffman acting as Dorothy Michaels!
Tootsie never made sense to me. He was hot for Jessica Lange when Teri Garr lived just across the hall? Was he blind or something? Teri Garr was(and still is) fatally cute. Young Frankenstein. Star Trek Assignment Earth. OMG. Cute. Star Trek Assignment Earth was supposed to be a spin off series but it never happened. Darn you Roddenberry.

This always cracked me up as a kid and still does. How on earth did they ever come up with this idea? Gold! Every once in awhile I'll say, "Wow he blowed up REAL good!" and kids have no clue what I'm talking about. LOL
