The character Bob McKenzie is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by actor Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as a joke to both satisfy and make fun of silly Canadian content rules, the duo grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. Brooke Shields weeps and then blows up. (Note: announcer calls the show Farm Film Celebrity Blow Up, but the sign says Farm Film Report.)

"She blowed up good! She blowed up real good!"
John Candy on SCTV clips are so funny and strange, Farm Film Report with singing Brooke Shields and his polka with Eugene Levy.
this dancing might be worse than elaine's lol
I still laugh like a fool watching these, especially the Neil Sedaka one. "He blowed up reel good".
Did she really fall? That’s looks real
Her dancing always kills me
Catherine O’Hara is so damn funny
Candy's change of expression from giddy to wide-eyed is gold… @2:40
the brilliance of Catherine really knows no limits…
Blowed up real good!
It's the Farm Report, with Big Jim and Billy Sawchuck, with a new version of our blow up farm report, now called: "Celebrity NASA crash landing." 'May the good Lord take a liking to yah and crash you up real good.'
I used to love it when they "blowed up" a celebrity as vapid as Brooke Shields.
I’m actually kinda into this rendition of “Young Hearts”
This is my kind of woman.
Like the Hindenburg!
Love Catherine O'Hara. That was awesome!
That was good
I really love Brooke Shields. She is really talented and everything. I was secretly hoping that she would do a nude scene for the Morning Farm Report and all.
Masterpiece of comedy by Catherine O'Hara…it comes as no surprise that she ended up being a movie star
John Candy….Man….He's perfect in every different role he plays! Just sitting there next to Joe Flaherty, he plays a country hick to perfection!
"Oh, that's an old … preserves joke."
Love to see Doland blow up.
That thumbnail will fucking haunt my dream
Now that was funny.
Catherine O'Hara, Can Really Sing
Catherine O'Hara as Brooke Shields
OMG I love SCTV. I watched this when I was in high school. LOL.
Dudes – You went back on your promise not to blow her up.
Still got the count floyed laugh..lol
Catherine O'Hara is so beautiful gorgeous woman
She blow'd up real good!!
After "Brooke's" first twirl on the floor, you can see Candy trying hard not to lose it…
That "blowup" is one I really appreciated.
In early episodes, before Candy became a star, he was really into making the character as hillbilly as possible. Here, you can tell he's not into it nearly as much.
I'm 59 and used to watch this show every week. It is still hilarious and so far above tons of shows from that era and today. Quite often, watching tv today,I wish this would happen for real to most of the ''celebrities'' polluting the small screen.
Maybe she should have sang it polka style.
BIG JIM MC BOB
