White Rabbit works surprisingly well in the Gordon Lightfoot voice.
Happy birthday song is actually under copyright.
Is it still available?
Ah, I was a huge SCTV fan and remember seeing this when it first aired. Love Gordon, may he RIP. I’d wager he enjoyed this!
From 1981: Rick Moranis does the voice imitation, while Dave Thomas performs as Harvey K-Tel. I'm old enough to have seen this when it first aired on the CBC, old enough to remember K-Tel records. (Not that I ever owned any!)
Ok, the super-chill version of Supercalifragilistic Expialidotious was cut from the original "commercial." Disney must have claimed copyright infringement.
R.I.P Gord .
A Canadian treasure, honouring another Canadian treasure.
RIP, Gordon Lightfoot. And thank you.
Goes to another level when you imagine having seen the original "Fantastic Gordon Lightfoot" K-Tel ad dozens/hundreds of times before this was made in response: https://youtu.be/qFGrmMWYcPg

“Supercalifragilistic, uh expialidocious” (removed later on from the syndies and for the boxset)
