Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV | Great White North – Boom shadows/Stuff that bugs us

In the video SCTV | Great White North – Boom shadows/Stuff that bugs us, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of odd Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a skit which was aired on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it aired by CBC Television in 1980. Bob is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and laugh about legal Canadian content statutes, the brothers morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The brothers went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
