Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV Great White North: Dog Scoops
In the video SCTV Great White North: Dog Scoops, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hilarious Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s part is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and laugh at legal Canadian content statutes, the characters grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The brothers later became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
The McKenzie Brothers discuss what people in New York do when a dog has… done their business.

The ending… good one, eh
Classic
CBC is still full of business. The CRTC demanded more Canadian content, and this is what they came up with. A giant middle finger to the government. That’s why we still love it decades later.
Crazy how one went away to fame, fortune and a future. And the other one just went away.
Man I miss these days.
These hosers horked my clothes!!
This was one of my favourite episodes! (For my American friends: I'm Canadian, so that's how I spell 'favorite', eh.)
I actually had never seen this one!
That is a perfect impression of a dog. It’s scary.
Anyone know why sctv doesn’t stream anywhere?
Bob and Doug are FA
Takeoff Hosers was such a blast, I remember getting the Christmas album when I was a little kid and played it forever
very funny, so you want to be a business man?
They should maybe, like, get hosers to come, and then the hosers could get paid and be able to buy beer. Eh ??
That ending was abrupt.
That is like a really good sketch eh.
Doink
GOOD DAY EH. HOSEHEAD. DONT TOUCH MY BEER. TAKE OFF YOU REPROBATE. AND DONT THINK OF SWINDLE ME OUTTA ANY MORE BACKBACON. IM ON TO YOU!
The two greatest Canadians who ever lived.
