Bob’s part is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously born originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh at silly Canadian content rules, the two grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings later became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
