In the video SCTV – GREAT WHITE NORTH (Should you go bowling loaded?), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hilarious Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was aired on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it aired by CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s character is brought to life by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a joke to both please and mock non sensical Canadian content statutes, the two became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
