Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV | Great White North – Travelling

In the video SCTV | Great White North – Travelling, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian siblings who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was shown on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it aired by CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as an idea to both satisfy and laugh about network Canadian content legislation, the pair transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The characters went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
