Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – Grizzly Abrams

In the video SCTV – Grizzly Abrams, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a show which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. The character Bob McKenzie is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is played by actor Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as a joke to both fulfill and laugh at legal Canadian content rules, the characters grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The pair became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
