Regardless the fact it was made originally as fluff to both satisfy and laugh at non sensical Canadian content demands, the pair transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. From the early 1980s TV show SCTV. The premise of this skit is a kids show originating from a bar. The tipsy host introduces episodes of Six Gun Justice, an old movie serial. The Six Gun Justice cast includes Eugene Levy, Martin Short, Joe Flaherty and Andrea Martin.

The 20 minute Workout video is great!
I love the anachronisms of WW2 era references in what was supposed to be a 19th century piece lol Radium? Japs?
Maggie Butterfield was a real person.
Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!!! 'Happy Hour' for kids filmed in a cheap bar…CLASSIC!!!…I Love poor, lonely Happy Marsden!!
I'm here with Sammy the Goose and Mike the Bartender. Mike is watching the third race from Belmont.
I love Sammy the Goose.
Brings back memories good memories after school memories oh boy it was good for me but we have to remember wasn't so good for many I hope it's for them it's good now
Mike the Bartender has realized he died and went to hell.
It's a sketch. Sketch comedy, like Sid Caesar, it's not woke. A skit is what the boss's girlfriend wrote for you to sit through at a company picnic.
This is Review Bruh's dad
Love the kids drawing of the host passed out on xxx juice.
Funny skit with the happy hour premise and music. The bartender watching
women's aerobics TV while smoking – is creepy + disturbing simultaneously.
Playing the The Six Gun Justice movie, makes this much further over-the-top!
A kids show hosted by an alcoholic that is filmed in a bar – sheer, comic brilliance, IMO.
Thanks for making this.

Joe Flaherty's brother. One of the writers on the show. hysterical
An oasis of humor during the inanity of " sheltered in place".
I like the Andy Devine style comic relief. There used to be so many shows like this, locally produced. In Chicago, it was Garfield Goose and Clutch Cargo.
Cheaplaffs…
That's kind of a sobering thought. Mike–maybe you can do something about that? 😀 !!
this is awful….not the least bit funny.
Yeah… Real translucent-like.
This is the perfect parody of cliffhanger serials. I love that the chandelier clearly smashes into their heads in the cliffhanger only to be harmless when the action picks up. Brilliant.
Cheaplaffs Johnson
He put the lantern behind the map so they can see it better?
Happy Marsden IS the Zodiac Killer
5 stars…
This comment needs to go…deeper…or higher, whichever really.
I don't know why, but the very concept of 'Cheaplaffs Johnson' always cracked me up.
John Hemphill doesn't get enough credit. He did some funny stuff, especially the ad for the Shangri-La Dance Studio. Hilarious.
reminds me of my dad lolll
