In the video SCTV – Harry the Guy with the Snake on His Face Library of Distinction, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s part is played by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as a joke to both fulfill and makes jokes about legal Canadian content laws, the duo grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The brothers enetually would become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
