Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – HI-Q Game Show

In the video SCTV – HI-Q Game Show, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of imaginaryfunny Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously made originally as an idea to both satisfy and make fun of silly Canadian content statutes, the pair turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The characters became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
