Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. It was brought to life originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and make fun of annoying Canadian content rules, the pair became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The brothers went on to become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
