In the video SCTV – MEET THE PAWNBROKER with Johnny LaRue!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian family members who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was televised on second city television for the show’s third season when it was aired on CBC Television in . Bob’s part is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by actor Dave Thomas. Which was developed originally as a sketch to both satisfy and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content statutes, the duo morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
MEET THE PAWNBROKER: Host Johnny LaRue hosts this exiting game show where contestants have to navigate various obstacles in order to get their valuables back!
