Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – Mel’s Rock Pile, The Queen Haters (HD Sound)

In the video SCTV – Mel’s Rock Pile, The Queen Haters (HD Sound), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian family members who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was aired on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s part is created by Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content guidelines, the siblings turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
