GORDON LIDDY, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian siblings who can been seen in “Great White North”, a program which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in . Bob is played by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content statutes, the two morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The brothers became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
