In the video SCTV, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of imaginaryfunny Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . Bob is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as fluff to both satisfy and make fun of silly Canadian content legislation, the duo turned into a pop culture success in both Canada and America. The two became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
