Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – Pepi Longsocks
In the video SCTV – Pepi Longsocks, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a sketch which was included on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . The character Bob McKenzie is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug is played by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as a skit to both please and laugh about dumb Canadian content legislation, the duo grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The two went on to become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
Pepi is ostracized by the other kids because he is different.

This is at least the 10th time I’ve watched this (although it’s been a while), and tonight I already started laughing uncontrollably when he went for the rock. I had forgotten about that part, but immediately remembered when he looked at the rock. Then when it happened I laughed harder. I also laughed thinking about how I laughed prematurely due to already knowing what he was about to do with the rock. Also I am high af. Too much jump the weed(s) I guess.
The translation and cheesy dubbing is so spot on. lol
obviously i am to dumb, or way to smart to inderstand this nonsense. Ppl compaeing this to the best snl skits, idk what the hell u are talking about. Dude looks like john Candy thought.
Parody perfection. Everyone involved was on top of their game.❤
I totally agree 2nd City was da shit 4sure.steward was 2,2, co0o0ol they were all grrr8 actorz…
Peppi Ice Spice
Get someone who reads lips
That is pre-woke funny and quite unusual. Plus educational.
Sadly, this is a true story of my big unusual looking & strong relative.
PEPSI COLA ON GOAT RUBBER BOOTS!
One of the worst skits I've ever seen. Too bad Candy wasn't writing them, they'd be waaaay better.
"Summer vacation is almost over! And you are unusual!"
They're all so young here and it makes me feel so old lol. John left us much too young.
Meh
Sepi Schlongpocks
Oh wow. I had forgotten this sketch!
This shit is just as bad as snl. I regret watching it.
Legends
I loved this show, it did jump the shark right about when Harold Ramis got sucked into the glamorous movie making business. He really was the comedic genius who wrote some really great skits. Either that or I ran out of weed, could be either one back then.
What a find
This takes me back to my childhood in South Dakota. I only jump very short weeds now because I am incontinent.
Uncle Buck with an Afro
I miss that kind of comedy. Too advanced for the time and just right for today.
Its Swedish
I always thought SCTV was always funnier than SNL. The Fishing Musician with musical guest Wendy O. Classic.
That was stupidly humorous. I want potatoes now.
How am i a 42 year old and have never seen this till now.
It would have been better if the cast did the voices for each other rather than their own characters.
Not funny.
A rare thanks to YouTube… I never seen this nor would I have
I named my bassethound Pippi-longears and she is very mischevious
The over dubbing is the best.
This wasnt funny at all.
Except for the potato joke.
Life seems so simple in Canada
To think that Eugene Levy and Catherine O'hara were in this together so many years ago and then worked together in Schitt's Creek.
This was made before comedy was invented
