In the video SCTV – PET PEEVES OF THE STARS – Luciano Pavarotti, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of made up Canadian comedians who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it streamed by CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by Dave Thomas. It was made originally as fluff to both fulfill and make fun of dumb Canadian content statutes, the duo became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
