Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – Pork and Bean Funeral

In the video SCTV – Pork and Bean Funeral, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on second city television for the show’s third season when it got sent to CBC Television in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by Dave Thomas. The sketch was developed originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and mock annoying Canadian content laws, the brothers turned into a pop culture success in both Canada and the States. The characters soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
