Even thoughFamously brought to life originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and mock stupid Canadian content legislation, the duo morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The pair soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
