Bob is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by actor Dave Thomas. Although born originally as a skit to both satisfy and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content rules, the duo transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The brothers went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
