Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – Prickley & The Prickettes

In the video SCTV – Prickley & The Prickettes, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on SCTV for the show’s third season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as filler to both please and mock dumb Canadian content demands, the siblings transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The two became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
