Bob is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Although born originally as filler to both satisfy and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content policies, the siblings turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The pair became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
