Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV Recycle Police

In the video SCTV Recycle Police, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hilarious Canadian actors who starred in “Great White North”, a program which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it got sent to CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as fluff to both satisfy and laugh about silly Canadian content laws, the pair turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The pair later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
