Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV Remembers Part 1

In the video SCTV Remembers Part 1, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a segment which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s character is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as a skit to both satisfy and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content statutes, the two morphed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The brothers soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
