  1. Actually shows like Family Guy and South Park are way worse when it comes to things like making ethnic/racial jokes and making fun of violence against women (and children, and everyone else for that matter). Also I'm pretty sure that sketch was satirizing the military industrial complex, not glorifying it

  2. CELEBRITY JEOPARDY on SNL was an homage by Norm Macdonald to HALF WITS. He asked Eugene Levy for permission. Again, it was extremely liberal, and extremely funny. Give me a break.

  3. SCTV means "Second City TV"- as in Chicago. Don't all of you little kids even KNOW about the Second City repertory company in Chicago? Every great comic of the past 50 years from Mike Nichols and Elaine May to Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi to Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis to Bill Murray to Catherine O'Hara to- to- to- came out of SCTV and Second City. LORNE MICHAELS, you HOSERS! Do your HOMEWORK! 🙂

  4. I loved SCTV. Back then, we did not take ourselves that seriously. In today's narcissistic world everything is about you, taking yourself too seriously. Its the age of the selfie generation. Priple need to learn to laugh at themselves again, regardless of what identity box the left tries to throw u in. Laugh at yout ien bix and u get to laugh at others.

  5. nice propaganda to try to build up the conflict between SJWs and so called non SJWs. Not saying the conflict doesn't exist because even I am not an SJW and I find some SJWs annoying but some of this is a major reach. For instance, the Jack Brown sketch can easily be seen as satire or critique of ultra-conservative ideology and nationalist tendencies. The character was poking fun at the nuttiness of ultra right political ideologies. You could actually insert Donald Trump in place of Jack Brown who wanted to build a wall as a result of the illegal immigrant or his 'common enemy' and Brown who wanted to find a 'common enemy.' If anyone was to get triggered by Jack Brown, it would be social conservatives and paranoid patriots who wouldn't want to be seen humourously for what they truly are. That is why I loved the character. It is a true depiction of such people. On the other hand, I am a left winger and NOT triggered by SCTV at all, and there are lots of us. Such is my rebellion against rebel media.

  6. This man is an idiot. He's understood nothing about the work he's commenting on. He actually takes a view that's consistent with that of the figures being ridiculed by the cast and writers. He doesn't seem to understand the principle behind these mildly satirical sketches. In fact, at first I thought he was an actor playing the role of a fool in the manner of a Second City comedian. He appears genuinely to expect a cascade of public outrage over a reunion performance from a fondly remembered comedy troupe. If someone were to read A Modest Proposal to him, he'd start barking that the snowflakes will hate it because Swift advocates the dietary consumption of Irish children.

  7. Bull shite! Pull up your pants, get a job. Or, is your job destruction of all culture. We are not allowed to laugh now. Ahaha haaa has hA … jokes on you whinging whiners. Man,what a flip out.

  8. Never heard of this show and have no idea what sort of humour it has but rather than sjws being triggered it will probably be the show adapting itself so not to offend sjws.

  9. Political "Correctness"… Isn't! It is neither political nor correct. It is time to end the egregious intrusion into our language by communist liberals.

The best way this can be done is to stop using their language abortion. If they want to use it, fine but don't you use it.

Blind people are blind, not visually impaired. Deaf people are deaf, not hearing impaired. Fat people are fat, not weight challenged. Midgets are midgets. Indians are Indians. Blacks are Canadians or Americans, not Africans. East Indians are East Indians or Canadians, and so on.

Stop encouraging them by adopting their incorrect word salad because they will not be happy until they have completely bastardized our language.

  10. i remember an sctv sketch with joe flaherty as dr. josef mengele. he was experimenting on a chicken (rubber) as dave thomas looked on asking what the doctor was up to, and now i imagine that the subject matter would never get you a laugh in 2018.

  11. Most people don't use twitter, so the rhetoric you find on there stems from those that have the time of day to be online. Start ignoring these fools, you wouldn't give them a second thought IRL.

  12. Whenever I need a laugh I watch the SCTV commercial parody of the 5 Neat Guys Greatest Hits. It wouldn't fly today either. (It makes fun of nerds and it's sexist.)

  13. True cinematic gold. I was raised on SCTV. I say we trap a classroom full of feminist SJW’s and force them to watch hours of it. The horror on their pathetic little snowflake faces would be worth the jail time. 😉
