The group ever. I did like SNL but this beat them hands down. Just a matter of who directed and made the material. They all came from the same group of people. Weren’t they all from Canada?
SCTV is what use to make TV great! Todays crap doesn't even compare to the talent on this show then! RIP big John Candy! You made me proud to be a Canadian
You misspelt "humour".
SCTV was Canada's Madtv and both were way funnier than SNL
Best comedy troupe ever!
Canada at this time was a powerhouse of comedy! From Codco, 4 on the floor, & Wayne and Schuster, we were never short of a laugh. I miss the country we used to have.
I wonder if Levy's "Lance" character was the prototype (if that's the right word) for Bobby Bittman.
It's getting so that Canadian is the only ethnicity we can make fun of anymore.
This cast is so stacked.
I can’t quite put my finger on it
Sctv, powered by cocaine lol
I'm just not here for Eugene Levy's eyebrows.
I hear that a new edition of SCTV is coming out. It will be highly edited for today's audiences and should not offend anyone. This skit will not be included.
very gypsy-esque folks
Curtis Edgett?
Sadly, because of the phoney, stupid, overly- sensitive world this program couldn’t be made today. The world is a poorer place because of it.
Wonder if Eugene Levys character iin Gypsy Mythology was an inspiration for Sasha baron Cohens ,Borat…….
Loved SCTV, and it’s still hilarious decades later.
Eugene Levy was the original Borat!!
Well we all know where George Costanza got his "I was in the pool!" line
The announcer mispronounced Joe Flaherty's last name during the introduction!
Doesnt hold up.
SCTV was way ahead of its time. Broaching subjects no one else would.
Every cancel culture advocate should pay attention to Harold Ramis's intro. 'I'm of Polish descent and highly offended by a Polish lightbulb joke.' The dead pan parody and satire is so spot on.
Back when Democrats had backbone and saw comedy as just that.
Andrea Marten is like on Lucy's level .. she's one GOAT
DAMN. I really needed this today.
Is it me or is Andrea Martin as a gypsy super hot?
None of this would fly today.
Love this show… one of the best ever… but Joe Flaherty has what is probably the worst Scottish accent I have ever heard.
gloriously un PC.
This could never happen today. What a shame
