Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – Sammy Maudlin Show – William B Returns!

In the video SCTV – Sammy Maudlin Show – William B Returns!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a segment which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it was featured on CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob McKenzie is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was born originally as a skit to both please and laugh about dumb Canadian content demands, the two transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the US. The characters later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
