Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – Scenes from an Idiot’s Marriage

In the video SCTV – Scenes from an Idiot’s Marriage, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of fictional Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on second city television for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is created by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as a joke to both fulfill and laugh about silly Canadian content guidelines, the duo became a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The brothers soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
