This belongs in a Time Capsule!
It rains TVs in Mellonville hehehehehe
I stumbled across the SCTV theme song. I thought it was commissioned for the show, but they actually took a De Wolfe library tune. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pc_ZUK1XmCo
This is how I feel now a days!! Hundreds of channels of CRAP!!!! I wish I lived on the 30th floor just to do that!!!!

DECADES TV needs to do a binge weekend of showing SCTV!!!!!
I remember it as SCTV Network 90.
Chanel 109, damn my old tv only goes up to 83 !
I watched this show a lot in syndication and never wondered who threw the TV. Now I know! I've never seen this intro and I'm glad that I did.
I think it's wildly coincidental that this clip of SCTV, "located" at "Channel 109," lasts 1 minute and 9 seconds (or, 1 : 09).
Not even ABC!
Blew SNL right out of the water. This show was extraordinary. Compared to the lame comedy shows nowadays… WTF happened???
This was the opening I remember and when the show went into syndication they never used it again. Thank you for putting this up.
The shower of TV sets shot was taken right after 1971 Grey Cup loss to Vancouver!
