In the video SCTV Season 3, ep. 1 – Lee A. Iacocca’s Rock Concert, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of imaginaryfunny Canadian actors who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on SCTV for the show’s third season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob is brought to life by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was made originally as filler to both satisfy and mock stupid Canadian content legislation, the pair grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The pair later became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
SCTV Season 3, episode 1. After taking off for a year SCTV is back on the air for the 1980-81 season. This premiere episode includes My Fair Lady, SCTV News, and Lee A. Iacocca’s Rock Concert.

Hard to imagine a time when Chrysler was an All-American mess, and not just a basket case in the hands of the Krauts or the Italians.
Season 3 was my fav season. Yeah, the lack of John is noticeable, but Tony and Rick make up for it. I wish Tony had stayed for the Network 90 seasons, him and John together would have been fun.
