Couldn’t find this on youtube so I’m uploading it! This is one of my favourite SCTV gags. Too bad that Jimmy wouldn’t allow it on the DVD sets. Enjoy!!!!

  1. This album is no longer available due to copyright infringement by Led Zeppelin and Taurus. Also by The Godfathers nephew Johnnie Pavarotti who has claimed voice copyright infringement on Luciano Pavarotti singing Stairway to Heaven.

  2. The quick joke referring to Ferrante & Teicher is so insanely brilliant. They were duet pianists popular in the 60s known to rearrange popular songs to people who liked sappy piano music. God I miss that show.

  3. Actually, there's an Australian show called "The Money Or The Gun" that did this. Every week, they had a different group sing a version of "Stairway To Heaven".

Best versions were by The Rock Lobsters (B-52's cover band) and The Beatnix (Beatles cover band). Also of note was one by The Australian Doors.

  4. For people today who might not know what this is satirizing, there are numerous real K-Tel Records TV commercials from the 1970s posted here on YouTube. Back then, they were inescapable and they really did look and sound just like this comedy version.
