It was created originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh at stupid Canadian content laws, the siblings turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. Not much to say on this one other than SCTV blew away Saturday Night Live by a million miles…and always will.

When you hear a radio station playing "Stairway to Heaven," it probably means the DJ is on a bathroom break!
"They'd laugh at you, but not because of your looks…"
Only 4 Neat Guys in the picture? Lol. I remember watching this 40 years ago, Pavarotti is the best, I'll never forget that. Thanks for posting!
Slim Whitman and Buffy St Marie killed me in this one!

The only person missing is the legendary crooner Tom Monroe.
Didn’t the Happy Wanderers do a cover of Stairway to Heaven as part of their “Rock & Roll, Schmenge-Style” special?

"Luciano Pavarotti" performing "Stairway to Heaven" sounds much like in the same style as the late, great Karel Gott performing "Rot und Schwarze", the fabulous German language cover of "Paint it Black".
Here's a fun fact, Jimmy Page played lead guitbox on two or three songs on a very early Al Stewart album. At this time in his career Jimmy Page was an in demand session musician.
Due to scheduling and time constraints, the Melonville Baker Boys, aka Earl Camembert and sidekick, Monster, Chiller, Horror Theatre's Count Floyd were not allowed to reprise their hoary an' old ditty..'Stairway to Leaven'..
Record executives are lower than Jerry Lewis when you miss the cry cue.
I bet that Devo cover would have been epic!
I'm glad they got the original cast of Beatlemania to do a reunion before their John Lennon died.
"Stairway To Heaven" by The Chipmunks?
Andrea Martin doing Buffy and Catherine Ohara doing Rickie Lee Jones are total gold lol.
It amazing that someone hasn't actually attempted to do this! I loved the old K-Tel record commercials. I think I just dated myself! I'm the only one that does! Lol
Smokey Robinson!
I would never have thought as a teenager watching SCTV and later Kids in the Hall and Mr. Show after that that my generation was making it's own profound and brilliant impact on comedy. Now it's all Mancia types only worried about being cool. Not funny.
I gotta have it. If just for The Village People with Rod McKuen.
These people were geniuses.
COMIC GENIUS!!!!
30 versions at 33 1/3!!
I'm old enough to get the Rich Little joke!
