Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – Steve Roman – It’s in the kurds
In the video SCTV – Steve Roman – It’s in the kurds, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian family members who starred in “Great White North”, a sketch which was included on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. The character Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although born originally as an idea to both satisfy and laugh about silly Canadian content legislation, the two became a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The characters became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Rats! This brief preview didn't afford us the opportunity to hear his "Afghan" accent. "Hey uuuu…uuu bomb the Sooooviets…"
This was "whey" ahead of its time
Another magnificent performance from one of the greatest actors who ever lived, Steve Roman.
This show would have been ratings gold!
And there's lots of action, lots of broads, and lots of good acting with accents.
Steve Roman wrestles with his most difficult acting choice so far; a Scottish undercover Kurd. The result? The difficult acting choice gets twisted into a pretzel via Steve Roman's inescapable Full Nelson.
