Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV – Sunrise Semester with Alki Stereopolis

In the video SCTV – Sunrise Semester with Alki Stereopolis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hysterical Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a skit which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by actor Dave Thomas. Although created originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh at network Canadian content demands, the duo morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
