In the video SCTV – Take the Money and Run, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a improv which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob is acted by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh about stupid Canadian content legislation, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. The characters became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
