In the video SCTV Taxi Driver starring Gregory Peck, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hilarious Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was aired on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s part is played by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and make fun of non sensical Canadian content guidelines, the characters morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and across the border. The brothers enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
